This is a secret page of my website :D.
Well, it’s not really, but it’s a test of one. I bought some NFC stickers from Amazon, and today is the first time I have ever tried to program one.
What is an NFC sticker?
NFC = Near Field Communications. In other words, if a compatible device comes near the NFC-enabled object, the compatible device can then communicate with it. So in this case, the NFC-enabled object is my little sticker/tag thing…

…and the compatible device is my phone.
This is what the stickers look like on the back:

The little coils are part of the technology that lets them pick up just enough energy from the phone to communicate with them. This one can apparently hold about 144 bytes of usable memory, which is enough for a typical URL or a short string of data. In this case, I’ve programmed it to hold the URL of this webpage (lasersister.com/first-NFC-secret-page)
…and it works! All I have to do is hold my phone near the sticker, then my phone vibrates and automatically opens up THIS page on my browser. WOOO!
